The short version: nothing is collected.
The app
CodeKiln runs entirely on your PC and never uses the network. It contains no telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporting and no auto-update. Your progress — XP, streaks, badges, code — is stored in a local file on your machine and is never transmitted anywhere, because there is nowhere to transmit it to.
This website
This site sets no cookies for ordinary visitors and runs no analytics, no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts. Your theme preference (light or dark) is stored in your own browser and never leaves it.
Like every web server, the one hosting this site keeps ordinary access logs — the address of the page requested, the time, and the IP address it came from. They are used to keep the site working and to count how many times an installer has been downloaded, and for nothing else. The download counter itself stores only a running total per release: no addresses, no visits, nothing that could be traced back to a person.
If you email support, your address and message are used to reply to you, and for nothing else. They are not added to any list, shared, or sold. Write to support@codekiln.app.
Changes
If any of this ever changes, this page will say so plainly, with the date, before the change takes effect.
